Community involvement

I followed my heart to Kimberley in 2006, and in my five years here I have established myself as an effective and respected leader in the arts community and beyond. We enjoy outstanding quality of life here in Kimberley, and I believe that we can become an exemplary community in the areas of economic, cultural and environmental sustainability. This community has challenged me to evolve both professionally and personally, and it has provided opportunities that I never would have dreamed of. I will bring vital skills and values to Kimberley City Council, and I will continue to work hard to give back even more to help shape the future of the town I've fallen so deeply in love with. Following are some highlights of my involvement in community organizations.

President, Kimberley Arts Council: 2009 - present
The KAC's outstanding work in 2009 and 2010 was recognized last spring by the BC Arts Council with our first ever Annual Performance Funding grant. In granting these funds, the BCAC noted the KAC's commitment to organizational sustainability and community-building.
